Bold shoulders, cinched waists and cropped pants played a major role in YSL's Fall 2012 Collection. Leather was used for pretty much everything and anything, pants, dresses, jackets, belts and shirts, bringing soft silhouettes to a sometimes bold material. The classic suit was also reintroduced in this collection adding fur, belted detailing, capes, longer hemmed jackets and prints in both knit and leather. Since Stefano Pilati, Creative Director, has already left YSL (February 27th 2012), he sure did leave on a high note. The collection was perfectly executed in a dark, vampiresk way.
