Lucian Matis Fall/Winter 2012 - Toronto Fashion Week

To kick off Toronto Fashion Week, Lucian Matis displayed his gothlic fem Fall 2012 Collection in style at the famous Royal York Hotel in Toronto Tuesday evening.  The collection contacted alot of lace, feathers and black.  The collection was completed with fingerless gloves, both sheer and opaque, and sheer leggings instead of a tight.  The collection was mostly dresses, however there were the odd pant, coat and suit.

So you're probably thinking who is this Lucian Matis... Well below are some quick facts on the designer.

• Born in Romania
• Moved to Canada in 1999
• Graduated from Transylvania's Sibiu Art Institute and Toronto's Ryerson University
• Has won numerous Awards including The Fur Council of Canada Award in 2002, Peoples Choice Award for Best Sketch in 2002, Alfred Sung Award for Great Design Talent in 2003, to name a few
• First collection was showcased at L'Oreal Fashion Week in Toronto in 2007 to rave reviews
• His pieces have graces many magazine and tv shows
