Unttld - WMCFW Fall 2013

Once again the designing duo from UNTTLD put together a dramatic show with Hitchcock-esk influences, as well as black and white short-film.  The collection was very men's inspired that featured structured tailoring, draping, pleats, and trousers.  The all black collection was manufactured using sheer, shine, leather, fur, feather, and metallic fabrics.  The finishing touches were the slicked back buns, non-makeup/naked look, brogues, and trouser socks.  It was a well rounded collection, however personally I wish there was more than 3 pieces in a colour other than black.  Don't get me wrong the designs, finishings, detailing, and workmanship were impeccable, just need some colour in my life!

Soia & Kyo - WMCFW Fall 2013

Designer of Soia & Kyo, Ilan Elfassy explained his Fall 2013 Collection as "This season I channeled the timeless elegance and malleability of metals, such as copper and nickel, to infuse our designs with a grounded sense of sophistication.  The result is practical, elegant outerwear emblematic of the quality Soia & Kyo is known for."  The very wearable collection featured a variety of colours including oatmeal, browns, burgundy, moss, navy, and grey, leather and knit combos, chunky knits and wools, contrast sleeves, sheer panelling, layering, mandarin/funnel collars, cropped pants, puffer jackets/parkas, and H2T leather.  I really enjoyed this collection because it was practical everyday pieces with some flare for both men and women.
