My Next Project

While browsing Pinterest, once again, I came across this DIY Canvas Art that I think is so cute.  I can wait to get my Craft On and make this.  What I am going to write or draw has not yet been decided.  All I am sure of is that I am going to do it! And that I could use some more art on my walls in my Condo.

I was able to find the intructions off of Virginia and Charlie and cant wait to get the goods needed to do this and start Canvasing :)

Necessary Tools:
1 Canvas (or however may you are planning on doing)
Matte Puffy Paint
Stencil to trace (if not being done free hand)
Paint (if wanting to paint after)

Click the Virginia and Charlie link above for instructions.  See below the finished product, both lettering and design ideas have been provided.  Another idea is to paint the canvas once all the Puffy Paint and Mog Podge has dried completely.

I will be sure to Blog about my Canvas Art experience!

Trend - Chunky Necklaces

I have been loving this new trend that has taken the accessory world by storm.
CHUNKY NECKLACES
Worn with either a plan silk shirt, t-shirt or dress this piece is so versitile it is a must in everyone closet!  Whether coloured or solid it is perfect for any occasion.

Coke or Diet Coke

Since it is Christmas time at the office we have had alot of Pop laying around.  I usually do not drink alot of pop but since it is there I have not been able to resist.  What's the harm of having a couple of pops, right.  I know, I know it isnt the best for you and that brings me to my question.  How come Diet Coke, is "apparently" better for you but contains more sugar than Coke?  If anyone can answer this for me I would be really interested in knowing.

WHICH DO YOU PREFER, Coke or Diet Coke?

Let the waiting begin...

I have now ordered all the games I want, well for now at least.  And now I have to be patient, which I am not, and wait until they are delivered to me.  Future Shop said they should be delivered within 2-15 business days, lets hope it is closer to the 2 days than 15 days!

Some Fashion Inspiration on a Monday Night

Loving some late night fashion pics to end a day!  Hope you all had a fun Boxing Day and didnt shop too much:) Enjoy the pics below.

My Most Fav Chirstmas Gift

Im not much of a "gamer", as people call it.  But ever since I have played some of my friend's Wii games I have wanted one.  Not something I would personally buy, since I would rather some new clothes or shoes.  I asked for it for Christmas.  December 23rd, the day my boyfriend and I exchanged gifts, came around and I was super curious what he was going to buy me.  Exciting already that I got to open a present, I was even more exciting opening it to see a Nintendo Wii.

I received the Black Console, as photoed above, and got Super Mario Brothers with it.  One of my favs, such a classic game.  So now it is a couple of days since and Boxing Day, so what perfect timing to buy some more games.  Already buying Jeopardy and Wii Sport from Future Shop.

Heading after work to Walmart to purchase some more with a Gift Card I received for Christmas.  Below are the games I am hoping are still in stock by the time I get there!

I also have to buy another controller.  Pink it is :) lol  It is going to look so cute with my Black Console!

This is going to be one fun Christmas present.  I cant way until I get better and dont stuggle through things.

Merry Christmas!

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas.  Hoping Santa was good to each and everyone of you.

Who's Has Wanted to Learn How to Make Paper Snow Flakes?

Making paper snow flakes use to be one of my favorite holiday crafts when I was younger.  However, being really bad at it and growing older with no time or place to put them I havent done it in a long long time.  After browsing, yes again, Pinterest I found this posted by Jane Wang.  You can view step by step instructions on how to make the perfect snow flake on the Instructable website.  Even uncrafty people can now do it:)

Bangles Re-Vamped

Everyone has sweaters at home that are unfortunately not being loved anymore.  If you do not have any lying around your house make a trip to Good Will or Value Village, I'm positive you'll be able to find one there.

What better way to turn those unused, unloved sweaters into bracelets.  Blog, A Few of My Favorite Things has posted numerous different ideas to re-vamp and recycle things around your house all using cozy sweaters.  Definitely check out this blog for some great ideas.

How cute are these bangles?  I need to make me some :)

The Coolest Manicure Ever!

My Pinterest addiction continues.  I just can't seem to get enough of this website.  Posted by Jenny Cakes, this crazy cool manicure is a must try.

1. Put on nail polish and let dry.
2. Dip fingernail in alcohol-basically any will do, vodka is suggested.
3. Press a strip of newspaper big enough to cover the whole nail on to your alcohol soaked nail.
4. Pull off slowly and be really impressed with yourself.
5. Paint top coat if desired.

Just For Fun...

On the same note at the Recycled Door Building take a look at some of the weirdest/unique homes around the world.  You'd be surprised where some people rest their head at night and call home.

The Nautilus House in Mexico, designed by Senosiain Arquitectos.  This home was designed and built for a couple.  I wonder if they still live there?

The Toilet Shaped House in Suwon, South Korea.  This home marked the start of a global tilet association on November 21, 2007.

The Hang Nga Guest House in Dalat, Vietnam. Designed by Hang Nga, built from a tree.

The Free Spirit Spheres in British Columbia, Canada. Hung from a tree with four attachments both on the top and bottom of the sphere.

The Airplane House in Abuja, Nigeria.  This home was built by a Lebanese immigrant in Abuja, who promised his wife a home symbolizing her love for travel.

There are so many more out there.  All that you have to do is go to Google and type in something along the lines of Weird Home, Crazy Homes, Unique Homes etc.  Im sure you will find hundreds of them.  It sure is interesting what some people go home to everynight.

Have fun with this one!  If you come across any exceptionally weird ones be sure to post them in the comment section so we can all view them.

How Crazy is This...

This building in Taipei, Taiwan is completely made out of Recycled Old Doors.  1000 brightly coloured recycled doors were used to revamp this 10 story building.  Designed by a South Korean Artist by the name of Choi Jeong-Hwa.  I could not resist sharing this crazy building with you.  What is going to be next on the list.  Anything is possible and thought of these days!
