Vera Wang Fall 2013 - NYFW

"Vera Wang got sculptural for Fall 2013, adding volume to architectural shapes and playing with tones of layered jacquard prints. Moving away from the slim lace silhouettes of Spring 2013, the designer focused on stone and black looks for her opening, with domed cape backs on jackets and sleeveless vests — even having bandeaus snake under armholes to contrast tight fronts with voluminous backs. Evening emerged in a flash of violet sparkle with exaggerated peplums, printed chiffon blouses billowing over matching cigarette pants, and all-over beaded dresses. It was utterly elegant, formal without being stuffy, and one of the designer's tightest seasons in memory." - fabsugar.com.au
