Nanette Lepore Fall 2013 - NYFW

"Inspired by images from the Mars Rover, Nanette Lepore left her vintage vibe behind and looked to the future. She embraced new technology for fall with jackets done in a coated wool that gave the illusion of leather, while dresses had iridescent textures and accessories featured holograms. Lepore also played with digital prints of slices of the earth, manipulating and morphing them into a beautiful, marbleized pattern shown on little dresses and tops. The designer dared to show some skin with cutouts on frocks and mesh inserts on blouses for a sexy yet still tasteful effect. It’s nice to see Lepore change things up with a younger, lighter lineup and it served her well." - wwd.com
