Fendi Fall 2013 - MFW

"A fall Fendi collection is more or less guaranteed to be fur-heavy, but given that this season Karl Lagerfeld wanted his collection to be “a contemporary rereading of fur,” fur went well beyond outerwear and found its way onto everything from fitted skirts and suits to handbags and booties — even sunglasses. Unapologetically luxurious, the models walked the runway in colored fauxhawks (i.e. fox fur woven into French braids), wearing graphic fur done mostly in dark palettes with strips of brights.  No matter one's stance on the ethics of fur, the craftsmanship and intricacy in which the designs were woven together this season were undeniably remarkable. As for the non-fur looks, silhouettes were kept clean-lined for a wearable mix of ankle-length trousers, knee-length pencil skirts, sheath dresses and leather separates." - thefashionspot.com
