Simone Rocha Spring 2014 #LFW

"Staying true to her roots and her own personal identity is of great importance to Simone Rocha.  She doesn't use abstract concepts to fuel her collections but mines her homeland of Ireland and he close knit family for inspiration.  And so, following on from last season's collection, which was dedicated to her two grandmothers, for spring she turned her attention to Connemara, a wild and woolly region in western Ireland which she took a trip to earlier this year.  She invited us to a beautifully polished punk wedding, the guests sporting bunches mohicans and clompy sandals.  GOne were the pretty pinks and fuzzy yellows of autumn and in their place a line-up of beautiful pieces in monochrome." - elleuk.com
