Peanut Butter Cookies - Raindeer Styles

My girlfriend Nicole came over Saturday night to help prepare for our Secret Santa party and watch Christmas movies together.  Her Christmas treat were these home make Raindeer Peanut Butter cookies, a recipe she got off of Pintrest.  After making a little boo boo, by little I mean mixing up 3/4 of a tablespoon with 3/4 of a cup of baking soda, batch 2 were incredable and super fun to make!

Ingredients:
3/4 cup peanut butter
1 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup shortening
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 egg
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon salt
chocolate-covered mini pretzels
brown and red M&Ms

Directions:
(this recipe makes around 40 cookies)
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
2. Combine sugar, peanut butter, shortening, milk and vanilla in bowl.  Beat/stir at medium speed untill well blended. Add egg beat/stir until blended.
3. In separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture and mix until blended.
4. Form dough into 1 inch balls.  To make raindeer shape, pinch bottom of the ball to create a point.  Flatten with your hand on cookie tray.  Space the cookies about 2 inches apart on a greased tray.
5. Bake for 7-8 minutes or until set/begining to brown.
6. Remove from oven and immediately press two pretzels into the top of the cookie for the antliers.  Press two brown M&Ms for eyes and a red M&M for the nose.
7. Let cool for 2 minutes on the cookie tray and then transfer onto a platter.

How cute and festive are these cookies.  No one will believe you made them :)
