David Dixon - WMCFW Fall 2013

David Dixon's Fall 2013 Collection titled "The Glass Ceiling" hit the runway at World MasterCard Fashion Week with a bang.  Dixon was quoted by saying "The collection for 2013 is just about that.  Embracing feminism, strong silhouettes, the return of the power suit, and accessorized with shards of glass, as women crash through that ridiculous "glass ceiling" and pick up those pieces of glass, and stand proud with vision, moving forward with fresh perspectives, and rule out the word minority." when describing his collection.  The collection went from business to dressy and everything in between featuring prints: baroque, stripes, and snake, lace overlays, feathered collars, exaggerated pleats, ruffled and tulle skirts, cape-like overcoats, metallic fabrics, corset bodices, and sequined sleeves. P.S. The final two looks with floral appliqué tulle skirts were to DIE for, to die!  From start to finish the very black, white, and vibrant blue collection was full of well crafted and tailored suits and separates for the everyday modern woman.
