Meet the 5 young ladies of the US Olympic Gymnastics team. (From Left to Right) Gabby Douglas (age 17) from Virginia Beach, VA and trains at Chow's Gymnastics and Dance Institute, McKayla Maroney (age 17) from Long Beach, CA and trains at All Olympia AOGC, Aly Raisman (age 18) from Needham, MA and trains at Brestyan's American Gymnastics, Kyla Ross (age 16) from Aliso Viejo, CA and trains at Gym-Max Gymnastics and finally Jordyn Wieber (age 17) from DeWitt, MI and trains at Gedderts Twistars USA.
After Sunday's Team Qualifying there were some highs and lows for both the team and individuals. The team finished in first, with a score of 181.863, qualifying for the Team Final, which takes place tomorrow. Gabby Douglas placed first and moves on to compete in the All Around Individual Competition along with a surprised Aly Raisman, who unexpectedly beat favoured Jordyn Wieber, the raining World Champion, and ended her dreams of becoming an All Around Olympic Champion.
