Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2014 #MFW

"With the opening strains of The Smith's "How Soon Is Now?" blaring in the Salvatore Ferragamo show venue, Massimiliano Giornetti sent out a Spring 2014 collection that is as wearable as it is inspiring. The designer's latest offering sticks mostly to shades of cream and white, with a few splashes of color by way of a gray-and-purple alligator trench coat and some lovely midnight-blue pieces that came out towards the end of the show. But the bulk of it was pure, understated, and almost minimal glamour. Think wide-legged leather pants, coats, and skirts cut from an inverted blue pinstripe material, and interesting uses of pleating. Giornetti is a designer who understands that restraint can be a beautiful thing, and this collection makes that plain." - fabsugar.com.au
