Tuesday #OOTD

Tuesday has come and gone and we are one step closer to the weekend :) Whoo hoo!  After a sleepless night of weird dreams due to the copious amounts of Lost I have watched in the last couple of days, I woke up once again late and rushed to get ready for work.  A sweater dress with metallic sequin neck detailing and patterned transparent tights were the perfect solution.  I completed my H2T look with above knee black leather boots, layered bracelets, boyfriend watch, high bun, black lined eyes, and a bold red lip.  Fingers crossed tomorrow I can get up at my usual time and actually have time to get ready for work... I'm sure the 3 episodes of Lost I watched tonight isn't going to help though... OOPS!

Monday #OOTD

After a fun filled weekend, Monday came WAY too quickly! Although I was extremely tired I had to make myself look presentable and professional for a busy day at work.  Ugh, Monday mornings are the WORST!  I opted for a button up chambray shirt tucked into a black high waisted flirty skirt, black opaque tights, gun metal statement necklace, black lace up brogues, silver pearl earrings, boyfriend watch, and layered beaded bracelets.  Since I woke up later than usual, I just needed my beauty sleep, I threw my hair into a braid, added some mascara, pink blush, and gloss to my lips.  Quick, simple, yet work appropriate!  I am ready to concur the work week so I can enjoy another weekend full of birthdays, house warnings, and shopping! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Giambattista Valli Spring 2014 #PFW

"Extreme contrast is the Giambattista Valli essence: short/long, masculine/feminine. It was more intriguing than usual with his latest collection. Valli's clothes and clientele define an indolent, brittle beauty, but here, the designer was influenced by filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini and Arte Povera master Alighiero Boetti—right away, that injected something rough-edged, real-ish. As left-field as such a notion sounded, the couture slant of Positano-ready opening outfits that featured bared midriffs and shorts pleated into aerodynamic Capucci folds was soon followed by dresses jacquarded with Boetti's word pieces (earlier this season, Jil Sander went there, too). Other outfits were inspired by the burlap sacking in which coffee beans are transported." - style.com

Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2014 #PFW

"The young Italian shares this house's founder's love of raunch, colour and boldness. Today Puglisi developed his leopard-print meets polka dot debut by injecting stripes and sheerness over silhouettes we saw at his own-label show in Milan. An ongoing motif were helter-skelter ruffles that corkscrewed down the left leg of leather trousers, from pocket to hem on leather shorts, or at the shoulder of patch pocketed spotty blouses that came in yellow, blue and synthetic green." - fashion.telegraph.co.uk

Elie Saab Spring 2014 #PFW

"THE Elie Saab woman's wardrobe was fully replenished for spring/summer 2014 this afternoon. She likes a sweeping, embellished chiffon gown; she likes jewel colours - this time in fuchsia, salmon pink or emerald, possibly encircled with a skinny matching belt. But the Lebanese designer offered more than the standard Oscar gowns this time around; one black silk story smothered in black, pink and green sequins had a more upbeat, disco feel than usual, while a black and white print carried green and pink florals growing up from the hem - which gave an edgier, younger feel to the collection. The run of black silk and lace tiered dresses had Dolce & Gabbana sex appeal too - this man knows how to make dresses that will make the red carpet cameras pop. It can be overly princessy at times but, tempered with roomy T-shirt dresses and a pretty poppy print, it had a welcome freshness too." - vogue.co.uk

Comme des Garçon Spring 2014 #PFW

"Rei Kawakubo played a different song for every long that came down the runway in her Spring 2014 collection for Comme des Garçons. A black dress with an exaggerated hoop skirt emerged to the sound of classical violins, while a pink floral look with sculptural tubes walked out to an electric, poppy song. While there wasn't one theme here - modern lady-in-waiting to Marie Antoinette, futuristic club kid of 3013? - there was a sense of Kawakubo looking back at the recent past. The vibrant pink of her Fall 2012 collection, with its two-dimensional designs, came back on leggings and in a few dresses, and the concept of fusing more than one different kind of garment together - which she did to rave reviews in Spring 2013 - was also present. But it's worth mentioning that these looks were sculptural, interesting, and thought-provoking. And that's always the case at Comme des Garçons." - fashionologie.com
