Lady Gaga's Workshop Finally Launched

The wait is over.  Last night Gaga's Workshop was revealed at Barney's New York.  Miss Lady Gaga herself made an appearance, cutting the ribbon and posing for fans.

Of course Gaga was dressed to the nines in a Chanel by Karl Lagerfeld custom designed dress.  Which didnt dissapoint, it was nice seeing her in a more toned down outfit.

See below for some of the decor that has transformed Barney's into Gaga's Workshop!

If you were one of the lucky ones in attendance let me know how it was. I was so bummed I couldnt make it!

Monday's Outfit

Monday's Trend - Jewel Tones

Dress - Anthropologie, Tights - Hue, Boots - Aldo, Belt - Danier, Necklace and Bracelets - Tiffany and Co., Watch 0 Michael Kors

After a long, yet fun, weekend of working, bowling and spending time with friends.  Monday came and I was in no mood to be getting up early for work.  I needed to be sure my outfit was professional, yet comfy.  I decided to wear this purple coloured cotton dress that I purchased at Anthropologie a number of years ago, black opaque tights and my black knee high boots.  I added a little bit of interest by adding a grey waist belt with stud detailing.

This outfit definitely got me through another long Monday at the office, yet still being very stylish and put together.  What are your Monday outfit tips.  Let's be honest, I know I am not the only one that dreads the early Monday morning wake up.

Big Night For TV!

I can't wait to get home, get into my sweats and put on Gossip Girl and Dancing With the Stars.  It is going to be an intense night, seeing how it is the Performance Finale of DWTS and it is on at the same time as Gossip Girl.  Going to be alot of going back and forth, back and forth between channels.

Lovely end to a great weekend...

After a long 8 hour shift, making it worse on a Sunday! I went out for my friend Julia's 25th birthday. It was just a couple of my girlfriends and I and we went to Momiji, an all you can eat Sushi restaurant in Mississauga! It is by far one of the best, all you can eat, sushi restraints! Delish... I wish I was more hungry... And could have eaten more!!

I am now home, watching the American Music Awards. Right now JLO is killing her performance! Costume changes! Song changes! Dancing! Signings! Wow, so much amazingness! And right before Kelly Clarksin sounded unbelievable! Still a lot more award show to watch! I will fill you all in on all of the fashion and performances tomorrow!

Good night moon!

My Saturday Night

What I love most about weekends is spending time with friends and having fun!  My most favorite weekend adventure is bowling.  And when I say adventure, I mean it!!  There is never a boring moment with my friends and I when we go bowling together.  Cosmic Bowling on a Friday/Saturday is the best.  Waiting until after 10:30pm to hit the lanes and experience glow and the dark bowling.  It is the ultimate bowling experience.  I by no means am a good bowler or even close to hitting a score of 100 in one game, however it is just an amazing way to have some competitive fun with your friends and do something different then the usual weekend bar night.

How did you spend you Friday and Saturday night?  Share your fun weekend plans below.

Friday's Outfit

Friday's Trend  - Menswear and Snake Print

Top - Nasty Gal, Trousers - Gap, Shoes - Shoedazzle, Necklace and Bracelets - Tiffany and Co., Watch - Michael Kors

I always want to be comfy on Friday's, I dont know if it has something to do with it being the end of the week or being tired.  However, I wanted to spice up my "Casual Friday" outfit with these Snake Print wedges from Shoedazzle.  Not only are they sky high and super comfy, they are also following right on trend with this Snake Print craze hitting both international runways and the streets of every city worldwide.  Whether being worn in clothing, accessories or "head to toe" it is definitely a trend that is unavoidable!  Since staying with the comfy feel, I thought that these grey men's inspired troused from the Gap were a perfect fit.  Since they are a looser fit and such a soft cotton they are ideal when it comes to stylish comfort!  Pairing it with a cotton, cut out detailed top made the look have a touch of femininity and fun.  I kept the accessories simple, staying with the comfy, effortless look of this outfit.  I even wore my men's inspired Michael Kors watch to keep with the overall trend.  Every detail counts :)

A new week is coming up, which means new outfits and experiments.  With winter coming and the weather drastically dropping in temp. more layering is necessary!  Hats, scarves, mittens and ear muffs necessary!

Since winter is just around the corner it is that time, buying a new winter coat.  What kind of winter coat should I purchase this year?  I live Downtown Toronto and do not have a car, meaning I take the TTC everywhere.  I need something warm and comfy but yet still being stylish.  Leave your comments below, any help/suggestions are welcome and appricated.

Thursday's Outfit

Thursday's Trend - 60's and 70's Inspired

Blouse - Forever 21, Jean Trousers - Seven, Pumps - Aldo, Necklace and Bracelets - Tiffany & Co,
Watch - Michael Kors

60's and 70's inspired clothing has made an major inpact on Fall/Winter 2011 collections.  Seen on numerous international runways by high profiled Designers.  I paired a colour blocked blouse, which is very mod and a pair of bell bottom jeans, made popular in the 70's.  I love this outfit, I think that it is super fun to mix different decades together.  I paired if with simple accesorries, as I wanted the colour blocking to be the main focus of the outfit.  I also paired it with simple black patent pumps since they wouldnt be very visible under the bell bottom flare.

What trend were you rocking yesterday?

Moods Of Norway

"Happy Clothes for Happy People"

While I was away in Orlando I purchased this woolish braided scarf.  When I saw it I instantly fell in love with it and needed to have it!  My boyfriend of course thought otherwise, as do I really need another scarf?  After signing my name and walking away with my new purchase I couldnt help but smile.  Now that I am home, back in cold Toronto I have been wearing it as my everyday scarf, since it is such a neutral colour and goes with literally everything.  I starting thinking what is this "Moods of Norway" brand and where can I buy more of it?  After doing some research and browsing their website, I have completely fallen in love with this brand.  Visit www.moodsofnorway.com to experience the same love I have.

Norwegian designers Simen Staalnacke, Peder Borresen and Stefan Dahlkvist have been presenting their collections internationally for the past 6 years while representing Norway all at the same time.  Their collections have been inspired by their collective global travels, international studies, and sizzling nights of cocktails.  Since become internationally known it is interesting to know that their Headquarters and main Showroom is still in their small town of Stryn, Norway.  (FYI Stryn, Norway has a population of 6967, so when I say small I mean SMALL)  There are stores across Europe, Japan, USA and even an online store.

I have posted some photo from their Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter Campaigns.

As of now there are no stores listed selling Moods Of Norway in Canada.  Fingers crossed it will be soon because I need some in my life.

What do you think of Moods of Norway? Let comments below.

Wednesday's Outfit

Wednesday's Trend - Mixing Textures

Blouse - Anthropologie, Skirt - Charie Boutique, Tights - Hue, Necklace - Lady Mosquito, Bracelets - Tiffany and Co.,
Watch - Michael Kors, Pumps - Aldo

My outfit today was a great mix of textures, while the skirt has a suedey touch to it and the blouse was silky and soft.  I love the bright colours and pattern of the blouse mixed with the neutral colours of the rest of my outfit, really makes the blouse pop!  I also added a beige necklace to complete the outfit!  Accessorizing can really make or break and outfit - if you are wearing a busier top pair it with a neautral, simple necklace.

Coloured Pants

I am a huge fan of this trend, owning multiple coloured pants myself.  It is such a fun way to get away from basic black/brown, while still looking very polished and put together.  If wearing colour is already going out of your comfort zone, pair the pants with a neutral (black, brown, white etc.) top to tone down the look or if you love colour and you are no stranger to mixing and matching, be daring and use contrasting, complimenting colours to complete your outfit.  Cobalt blue trousers and a red blouse would look awesome and you would definitely stand out in a crowd.  Don't forget to accessorize, whether toning down the trend or going full force, a simple necklace, bracelet, ring or pair of earrings can completely change and make the outfit.  Take some inspiration from the photos below, showcasing both toned down and full forced looks.
