So Envious of Kim K's Vaca Style

Who doesn't wish they looked this fabulous on Vacation. Between the humidity and heat my hair frizzes BADLY and my face usually melts off, but I guess that's what you get when you don't travel with your very own hair and make up team. Kim K on the other hand travels with a full glam squad wherever she goes, even when in Costa Rica for Family Vacation, and boy does she look great! Kim paired a semi-sheer nude bodysuit with ruched black leggings, and nude sandals. Her hair was left down with subtle beach waves and her makeup was simple, just a little blush, a bronzed eye, and nude lip. If this isn't #VacationGoals I don't know what is.

It's Couture Week: Zuhair Murad Spring 2017

"There were fireworks at Zuhair Murad’s show. They rained over dresses in bursts of embroidery, shot upward from tulle shoulder ruffles, shimmered in red crystals, and shone from the top of the bride’s tiara. The famous Miyajima Water Fireworks Festival provided endless embellishment possibilities for the brand’s founder and designer, who aimed to capture colors and effects alike. Also, he mentioned that much of the silhouette inspiration came from Dynasty. This was evident from the sweeping skirts in duchesse satin with oversize bow and ruffle accents, which were also meant to evoke the waves around the island where the light show takes place. As to be expected, Murad insisted he doesn’t design with red carpet season in mind. But of all the possible themes, fireworks might prove particularly tempting for a nominee." - vogue.com

"Saab absolutely offers the typical haute couture experience. Given the amount of shimmer here, it appears as if the Oscar figurine won’t be the only thing that shines at this year’s Academy Awards. Attendees, take note: If you’re looking for something to shield your eyes from the glaring L.A. sunshine while waiting to enter the ceremony, then Saab has a solution—jewel-encrusted shades, which matched the beading on the dresses. It's Couture Week: Giambattista Valli Spring 2017

"It’s not the first time that creasing-as-decoration has seen the light of day—Martin Margiela, Miuccia Prada, and more recently Alessandro Michele at Gucci have all tried their hand at creating the notion that their clothes have had a life before they’ve made it onto the runway. This has to be one of the first times it has been explored at couture level, though, and it was a more human-scaled counterpoint to Valli’s general modus operandi when he’s working on these collections, where he’s a firm believer in making big, as in really, really big, gestures. For the most part, though, it was ball gowns galore for Spring. Some were constructed out of countless yards of tulle and mousseline, a Valli standard, while others were traced in graphic formations with crystals, so they conspired to somehow look both extravagant and minimalistic at the same time. If one can talk about trends at couture, then it’s this: The Ball Gown Is Back. How this rates in a world where so many women are currently engaged with activism and empowerment, who can say? Book Review: "All The Missing Girls"

 My daily commute to and from work had never been better, for once I actually looked forward to getting on the TTC! Knowing for the next 20-25 minutes I would be consumed with the crazy lives of the Farrell family. Megan Miranda 's "All The Missing Girls" has been widely compared to novels by Gillian Flynn, and I couldn't agree more. "All The Missing Girls" is about a small town girl, Nicolette Farrell, who leaves her adolescent past, filled with tragedy, mystery, and secrets, for a new start in a big city. But when Nic's father falls ill and is moved into an assistant living facility, she has to move home for the summer to help her brother with some family affairs. When her "neighbour" Annalise goes missing one night, memories and people from her past quickly resurface,  causing more problems than answers. From the character development to how this novel was written, I loved every part of it. Such a great read, that will keep you guessing until the very last pages.
