Badgley Mischka Fall 2014 - #NYFW

"The richness of Vienna was the inspiration behind Mark Badgley and James Mischka’s beautiful lineup, in which they showed their Collection mixed with pieces from Badgley Mischka Couture. The influence was reflected most obviously in the strapless ballgowns, as in an array of bold plissé brocades. But it was evident throughout the dressy collection for day and night, from fancy luncheon looks to sportier lean evening dresses with plenty of glitter. The designers showed a wonderful mix of fabrics. One dress came in a gray tweed sleeveless top with a brown plaid skirt; another circle-skirted, long-sleeve dress was worked in a golden tweed, and an ebony cashmere shell had a Klimt-inspired lavishly embroidered slim skirt. They were lovely and timeless, as were many of the duo’s simple little black dresses. The star of the gowns was a pale gray chiffon tiered V-neck look, belted, edged and embroidered at the sleeves and shoulders in gold." - wwd.com

Tory Burch Fall 2014 - #NYFW

"The tough urban warrior isn't a character you'd usually associate with Tory Burch, so you'll be surprised to know that Joan of Arc - worthy armour loomed large on her mood board this season. "My father and grandfather were both collectors, and I was always a little frightened by the suits as a child," said the designer before the show. "But looking back, the details are awe-inspiring." Her central quest for fall was: How do you bring a sense of sweetness and light to that idea of a hard exterior?" - vogue.com

Reem Acra Fall 2014 - #NYFW

"The designer, known for her impeccable taste in formal wear, definitely outdid herself this season. From crystal-embellished bodices to lace gowns and vibrant colours, Reem hit all of the right notes in beautiful evening wear - and it's only a matter of time before her famous fans rock the looks on the red carpet. When most people think of evening wear they tend to only think of red carpet gowns, however Reem showed us at her show that this wasn't the only option! The designer presented a number of shorter dresses and separates that were also dressy while being a little bit less formal than some of her other looks. It was great to see a range in evening wear, because there are always special occasions that may not include a red carpet." -hollywoodlife.com

Carolina Herrera Fall 2014 - #NYFW

"A whimsical play on proportions," Carolina Herrera promised before her show. The designer was thinking along rounder lines than usual. Karlie Kloss' black boiled-wool coat envelope her like a cocoon; it was as elliptical as her pony-hair skirt was straight. After that opening salvo, jacket shoulders sloped softly into bracelet-length sleeves and swung away from the back in generous volumes. With its deep sable hem, a fiery red wool gazer style in a silhouette ever so slightly evocative of Cristobal Balenciaga looked striking, as did another in bordeaux double-face wool with navy blue alligator appliqués." - style.com
