Wednesday #OOTD

I brought a little Spring to my Hump Day today by incorporating bright colours into my outfit.  It has only been cold in Toronto for a couple of weeks now and I am already sick of the drab colours walking the streets and around the office, I needed some colour to cheer me up!  I bought this blouse in the summer because I LOVED the bead work and use of multiple colours and it was the perfect choice for my outfit today.  Since it is cold outside I opted to layer an aqua cardigan over top and paired them with black skinny dress pants.  A pair of patent black stilettos, silver boyfriend watch, silver layer bracelets and heart pendant necklace, black lined eyes, straight blow-out, and natural pink lip completed my Spring in Winter look.  Happy Hump Day :)

Tuesday #OOTD

I have been obsessing over these booties lately and I have literally been trying to wear them with everything in my closet.  What better way to wear flat booties than with leggings...  I paired my black leggings with this taupe, brown, and black patterned button-up longer blouse with an origami-like 3D statement necklace.  Finishing off my look were my silver boyfriend watch and layered beaded bracelets, side-parted braid, black lined eyes, iridescent pink blush, and a nude lip.

Monday #OOTD

Happy Monday!!  I started off the week with Purple, Patterns, and Giraffes... what a random yet fitting way to start a crazy busy week!  You've seen this sweater before, normally worn over top of a blouse, undone as more of a cardigan.  However, today I switched things up by doing it up and tucking it into one of my favourite fall mini-skirts.  Mixing patterns seems tricky but really you just need to keep the colours complimentary and go for it.  Whoever though giraffes and floral print would work so well together.  Finishing off my H2T look were black opaque tights, black flats with jewel detailing, black, pearl, and crystal statement necklace, soft waves, black cat-lined eyes, a nude lip, and the usual silver watch and bracelets.  What are your favourite patterns to mix?

Friday #OOTD

What is the perfect casual Friday look... well my Canadian Tuxedo obviously.  I am loving this mixing denim trend that's been all over the runways and streets of some of fashions most important cities.  You may be thinking that this trend has been around for sometime and that I'm just catching on to it now... and the answer is yes.  I never really got into it, until seeing so many of my fellow fashionistas at World MasterCard Fashion Week rocking this trend.  I paired my favourite dark skinny jeans with a button up light chambray shirt, black suede pumps, a chunky beaded floral statement necklace, layered silver beaded bracelets, silver boyfriend watch, high bun, kohl rimmed eyes, and a bright pink lip.  What a perfect way to end the work week and start the weekend.

Thursday #OOTD

Black on black on black.  As you all know I don't tend to wear a lot of black.  I find it rather harsh and I think colours are more fun to play with.  But together I woke up and wanted to experiment with an all black look.  I decided to pair this cashmere and wool oversize draped sweater with black leggings, black tank top layered underneath, and simple silver jewellery.  However, my statement piece of this outfit was also my favourite.  I am in love with this grey beaded metallic waist belt that I bought a while  back to match with a specific outfit, my ivory full tulle skirt to be exact, but thought I should wear it with my everyday clothes as well.  This outfit truly was the definition of comfort meets fashion.

Wednesday #OOTD

Hump Day came and went and I definitely brought the brightness!  I am in love with this drawstring waist shirt dress that I picked up after winning a contest with The Style Mogul and M for Mendocino in the summer.  It is the perfect colour and weight to transition into Fall simply by added a pair of solid or in this case opaque patterned tights.  Adding a simple black suede pump, multi-metallic braided beaded necklace, my usual silver boyfriend watch and bracelets, side-swept curled do, pink lipstick, and black lined eyes and voila an idiot proof Fall look.

Ipsy and TopBox November Subscriptions

I love when I receive my Ipsy and TopBox Subscriptions close together so I can open them up at the same time and compare the products I receive.  This month Ipsy went uber Glam and TopBox went more au-natural.  Both extremely different products, which made it double the fun!  So... let's get to it!

November's Ipsy Bag, titled 'Glam It Up' featured 6 products, 5 full sized and 1 sample sized.  This Glam Bag was also promoting the new makeup line EM by Michelle Phan.  Michelle Phan became popular in the YouTube community as a beauty guru and expanded her brand and popularity from there.  In my bag I received 1) HSI Professional Argan Oil: to be used in your hair to nourish, add shine, and leave your hair feeling buttery soft.  This leave in treatment can also be used as a heat protectant before blow drying and using a straightener. 2) Nailtini Straight Up Color Nail Lacquer in Caviar Cocktail. 3) EM by Michelle Phan Lash Gallery Dramatic Volume Mascara in Brown: creates volume and a bold coloured lash with the uniquely shaped 'cup' wand. 4) Bronzer by Pixi Beauty in Subtly Suntouched: a very smooth touch bronzer which provides long lashing pigment while containing Vitamin E to protect the skin. 5) Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in Hot Damn: this crayon is extremely pigmented and moisturising. It is super cute for travel and has a twist top for easy application. 6) Starlooks Gem Eye Pencil in Amethyst: this creamy metallic eye pencil goes on smooth and is great for smudging or used as an eyeshadow. Holiday season is already calling my name!

My November Topbox was full of surprises from the usual 4 products to a bonus Mystery Gift Card from Trend Trunk, which allows you to shop other members closets, and an additional offer of 15% and free shipping for Shu Uemura when shopping online. In my box I received... 1) Cover FX CC Cream in Light: treats, protects, and corrects your skin all in one product.  Contains SPF 30 and leaves you skin feeling radiant and natural. 2) Shu Uemura Skin Purifier: this cleansing oil removes makeup, impurities, and helps keep your skin balanced. 3) Parfumes Issey Miyake Eau de Toilette in Pleats Please: this light fragrance is very feminine yet a little spicy. It will be perfect for the Fall/Winter seasons. 4) T Langhans Handcrafted Castile Soap in Lemongrass: made with 100% Virgin Olive Oil and Essential Oils.
