Pulled from Stephan Caras' Press Release his Fall 2013 Collection "focuses on timeless elegance.  A woman exudes an innate confidence and femininity when she wears clothes that flatter her shape and highlight a natural radiance.  I want woman to feel beautiful in my pieces so I've designed them to be both sensual and practical."  Which literally describes the collection to a T, wow I can't believe how dead on that was.  This collection had it all business, black-tie, and wedding wear.  Houndstooth made a huge impact on the more business-like looks in numerous jacket/coat forms, while solid winter-whites and blacks dominated the evening/wedding wear portions.  Detailing consisted of feather collars, cuffs, and hems, mesh inserts, sheer, high-low blazer hems, lace, pearls, ruffles, appliqués, and an array of different necklines.  However, for the LOVE OF TULLE, the last two looks... OMG!  Definitely were the cherries on top of one of the best shows of World MasterCard Fashion Week.

Obsessed With My New Shoes

I saw these bad boys on an Instagram post today and knew immediately that I needed them in my life.  I quickly went online found out the name, price, and if they were available in stores then headed to NineWest at the Eaton's Centre after work to snatch them up.  The Jule shoe which retails for $140 only ended up costing me $105 before taxes because of their 25% off Friends and Family In-Store Promotion on until April 1st.  What a great way to start off my Spring/Summer shoe shopping!  Friends and Family at NineWest is only on until April 1st so take advantage of this amazing offer and save some monies while looking fabulous!  Happy Shopping :)

Finale at Pavoni (left) was a great end to a fabulous week of shows.  Silver confetti and fabulous designs for Fall can't be beat!  The disco queens and kings having one final dance party at Korhani Home before their final walk down the runway (right).

Caitlin Power - WMCFW Fall 2013

Caitlin Power made her solo debut at World MasterCard Fashion Week with her "New Romanticism" collection inspired by "Parisian architectural institutions that combine classical and modern construction such as Le Louvre.  Power uses the brand's signature structure, geometric jacquard print and juxtaposed fabrics and textures to recreate the strength and timeless landmarks seen abroad." as quoted from the press release.  The collection featured leather and fabric combos, sheer, asymmetrical hems, futuristic shapes, capped shoulders, panelling: sheer, PVC, and metallic, turtlenecks, and jewel tones: navy, bordeaux, and silver.  My favorite piece was definitely the coat with red PVC yoke and funnel collar (image #2), so fab!!  Also, gotta love all the leather gloves from Canadian Leather Guru: Danier Leather.  Overall a stellar collection that was very well styled!
