Balenciaga - #PFW Spring 2017

"In his second show, it may have been no coincidence that Gvasalia was turned to think about the motivations behind that fashion fetishism, the drive to possess a particular object and the thrill of stalking out in it. When you're playing at this level, the stakes are high - the premiere league of designers belongs to those who can show women something they've never quite seen before, but leaves them panting for it. Well, Gvasalia joined that league today, by risking the use of spandex. Spandex takes intense color and print brilliantly, shrink-wraps the body, and, as he proved, can drape in a kinkily slinky, glamorous way. There were shoulders, too. Needless to say, Gvasalia's reinvention of the oversize silhouette has been powerful enough to set a trend running. This time, he went further, inserting a whalebone rod across the shoulders of trenchcoats and boxy jackets. It might be a long step too far for normal people, but that's surely the point. [And] There are extremists who will gladly follow anything he does. Alexander McQueen - #PFW Spring 2017

 "Sarah Burton flew her team up to the Shetland Isles, far north of mainland Scotland, to gather their research last summer. Then they came back to the McQueen studio in gritty, urban London, inspired to make a show from everything they'd seen. [And] Very beautiful it was, and stunning in its long, sinuous dresses knitted from wool lace, clinging tight to a tiny, high bodice and flaring to handkerchief-point skirts. In watching all this, questions might be raised over how practicable McQueen is for everydaywear. That thought, however, was temporarily washed away by the finale dresses. Now in the realms of fantasy, Sarah Burton's models looked like mermaids or sea-goddesses, risen from the deep in incredible dresses beaded with shipwrecks and fish." - vogue.com

From The Runway To The Front Row

To quote Karlie Kloss' Instagram, "Thank you Sarah Burton for having me at your exquisite show last night. It was my first time experiencing an Alexander McQueen show from the front row and every detail was divine." And wow did Karlie make a fashion statement in that front row. The supermodel opted for a AW16 Butterfly embroidered leather dress with fuzzy pink soled black sandals, and a silver chained black leather handbag. Beauty-wise Karlie kept things pretty simple with a slick back top knot, barely there makeup, and a pinky-mauve lip.

Zucchini + Beef Lasagna

Lately I have been extremely unmotivated to cook and have found myself resorting daily to Uber Eats or my local Subway across the street from me, which as delicious as they are it isn't the same as a yummy, healthy home cooked meal. I am hoping that this Post will not only encourage you but myself as well to get back into the Kitchen and start having fun again! With that being said, today's What's For Dinner is as yummy as it is healthy, and who doesn't love that! I am all about low or no carb meals and this Zucchini Lasagna not only falls under that category but also fulfils any carb cravings. The Veggies below don't need to be 100% followed, as you can substitute your favourite veggies instead, same with the Beef choosing any kind of Ground Meat. However, whatever Veggies or Ground Meat you choose this is definitely a scrumptious dinner not to be missed.
Ingredients:
1. Zucchini - 2 Thinly Sliced
2. Lean Ground Beef - 1 Package
3. White Onion - 1 Chopped
4. Red Pepper - 1/2 Chopped
5. Yellow Pepper - 1/2 Chopped
6. Jalapeno - 1/4 Chopped
7. Spinach - 2 Handfuls
8. Garlic - 3 Cloves Pressed
9. Tomato Sauce - 1 Bottle (Any Flavour)
9. Ricotta Cheese - 1 Cup
10. Mozzarella Cheese - 2 Cups Shredded
11. Parmesan Cheese - 1 Cup
12. Olive Oil - 2 Tbsp
13. Salt and Pepper - To Taste

Directions:
1. Pre-heat Oven to 325 Degrees.
2. Thinly slice Zucchinis, about 1/4 inch thick.
3. Heat Olive Oil in large Frying Pan, once heated put Onions, Red and Yellow Peppers, Garlic, and Jalapenos in Frying Pan and let fry for 3-5 minutes. Then put in Ground Beef and let cook fully, approximately 10 minutes.
4. When Ground Beef is almost cooked put in Spinach and let wilt for the last couple of minutes.
5. While Veggies and Ground Beef cook, in a small bowl place Ricotta Cheese and whisk until smooth, you may need to add Milk to help, depending on the type of Ricotta purchased.
6. Now it's time to assemble your Lasagna. In a Baking Dish put a thick layer of Tomato Sauce, then a layer of Zucchini, followed by Ground Beef mixture, Ricotta, and sprinkle with Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheeses. Then repeat starting with a thinner layer of Tomato Sauce.
7. Once you have filled the Baking Dish, leaving 1/2 inch at the top, finish off with a layer of Tomato Sauce and sprinkle remaining Mozzarella and Parmesan on top (if needed add additional Cheese).
8. Place in Oven and let cook for 45 minutes.
9. Once cooked, remove from Oven and let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
10. Plate and Enjoy!

This time wearing a purple jewel toned lace frock with gorgeous embellishment covering the entire bodice, bronze pumps, and minimal jewellery. Completing her look was a simple up-do, signature kohl rimmed eyes and nude lip combo.

L'Oréal Adds More Sparkle To The City Of Lights

Although Paris Fashion Week has come to a close, there are still some fabulous fashions that need to be shared from Fashion's most famous Fashion Week, and the L'Oréal "Gold Obsession" Party was no exception. The L'Oréal Family took a break from walking the runway and sitting front row at the shows to celebrate L'Oréal's official sponsorship with Paris Fashion Week and their newly opened flagship store on Rue Caumartin. The Best Of Kim K's #PFW Style

Don't get me wrong, Kim Kardashian West has had some questionable, to say the least, outfit choices during Paris Fashion Week. (Ahem... What was that tearaway, lingerie, and fish net combination?) However, her choices for both the Balmain and Givenchy Spring 2017 Presentations and After Parties have been on point! I guess it's only the best when you know and are good friends with the designers, Oliver Rousteing from Balmain and Riccardo Tisci from Givenchy.

Prada - #MFW Spring 2017

"Instead of exploring the history of women, which I have for a while, I decided to take care of now, the present, and trying to find elegance." These were her words after a show that in some ways did strip back brand Prada to its innovative, recognizable foundations. The girl in the black tank t-shirt and black knee-length box-pleated kilt who came out at the beginning was a clear reminder of the '90s minimalism of which the Prada techno=stretch uniform set the pace. But this wasn't like a literal retrospective at all. There were many reminders of Prada's taste down the years, like her permanent passion for a '20s or '30s Deco-graphic print on a lovely fit-and-flare midi dress, and her abiding obsession with tiny knickers - this time of the high-waist type the 1940s star Betty Grable would've recognized. Still, what really stood out were Prada's madly extravagant miles of ostrich and marabou trimmings on stoles, smothering envelope bags, fluffing up necklines and sprouting, Dr. Seuss-like, from sandals. Eventually, they got married up with the wonderful things in the show."

I am so obsessed with this look Jessica Alba wore to the Valentino Spring 2017 Presentation during Paris Fashion Week. The combination of the sheer lace high-waisted midi-skirt and embellished bell sleeves shirt dress is perfection! Alba styled this look with black lace-up booties, a black studded handbag, dainty jewellery, side-parted curls, natural face and eye make-up, and a bold red lip.

Max Mara - #MFW Spring 2017

"Was it the 2016 Rio Olympics that made the team at Max Mara think about designing a sport, South American influenced collection for next summer? Not directly. According to program notes, the link was actually the work of the great Italian born architect Lina Bo Bardi, who set up her influential practice in Brazil in the middle of the last century. Cue the jungle prints, parrot calls, and a concrete pathway sprouting grass. Athleisure techno fabrics, blousons, hooded jackets, leggings, bodysuits, and stretch onesies were the core of the collection, a theme that was resolutely worked through in the jungle-moderne mood - even up to the point that grass appeared to start growing on skirts and exotic animal motifs took over sweaters. It would have been nice to see more of that sort of Milanese classic workwear, and even nicer if a few of the brand's trenchcoats had been slipped in." - vogue.com

Rihanna Proves, Once Again, Why She's A Dior Girl

Rihanna has had quite the Paris Fashion Week with debuting her first collection with Puma, Fenty Puma, then making her usual appearance at the Christian Dior Spring 2017 Presentation wearing this patterned off the shoulder dress coat, nude strappy sandals, pearl rings, hoop earrings, and contrasting patterned handbag. Natural make-up and nail polish, and slickly parted straight locks completed her H2T look. Slay Riri, Slay!
