Bottega Veneta Spring 2014 #MFW

"Fabric was the starting point at Tomas Maier's Bottega Veneta show today. Print and color for the most part were pared back, so that his expressive volumes could do the talking. Maier developed a cotton woven with copper; the metal threads gave it a memory. He used it to sculpt mille-feuilles of ruffles that circled the hips of a short skirt, cascaded down the torso of a day dress, and bustled the small of the back on a one-shoulder dress with leather straps. The results felt ladylike, not all that unlike his 1950s-inflected Fall show, but where that was retro-strict, this had a more relaxed spirit. Inevitably, it felt more modern." - style.com

Blumarine Spring 2014 #MFW

"Just like the crystal chandeliers dangling from the ceiling, Anna Molinari's Spring 2014 collection displayed grandeur down the runway, but in two very different ways.  The first half of the collection brought cream and nude point d'esprit tulle tops, delicate lace pencil skirts and cropped jackets.  Then there was the element of rock n'roll which personified itself in he form of red and midnight black structured satin blazers, a crystal webbed stretch chiffon t-shift and leather trousers making it clear that this woman dresses to make her multi-faceted personality.  The transparency of the entire collection felt ultra-feminine yet extremely sexy.  The nude shades and lemon tones coupled with hints of red and white complimented the collection confirming that Anna Molinari sure knows how to dress a woman for absolutely any party occasion." - marieclaire.com

Wednesday #ootd

As much as I am loving the warmer weather in Toronto, it is almost impossible to dress for this fluctuating weather.  Leaving my condo in the early morning it is 9-13 degrees, however come mid-afternoon/early evening it is 20+ degrees... I just can't win wardrobe wise!  So, today I decided to go with a sleeveless slight a-line frock with yoke detailing.  I paired my dress with black opaque tights, embellished black flats, pearl studs, multiple silver and pearl bracelets, and my silver boyfriend watch.  Basic makeup of black lashes and champagne shimmer cream shadow, pink cheeks, a nude mauve lip, and soft curls added the perfect finishing touches.

September Ispy and Topbox Subscriptions

September was an amazing month for Beauty Subscriptions, with both my Ipsy and Topbox subscriptions being filled with amazing and extremely usable products!

Monthly Subscription - August Topbox

Oh my goodness, I am so far behind on my Monthly Subscription posts.  So tonight, since class was cancelled, it was the perfect night to get caught up!  Going back to August, can you believe that August was already 2 months ago, check out below what I received in my August Topbox!

Tuesday #ootd

I couldn't resist jumping on the Black and White Fall Trend this morning.  I opted for a basic white v-neck t-shirt paired with an Italian Lambskin skirt with gold side zippers and slight high-low hem.  Finishing off my look were back patterned tights, a gold pineapple necklace, the usual layered silver bracelets and boyfriend watch, and black suede pumps with gold toe-caps.  For hair and makeup I went with a fresh blow-out, black lashes, glossy lips, and pink highlighted cheek.

Monday #ootd

After an amazing weekend up north I really wasn't ready for the weekend to be over.  Something easy and comfy was definitely in the cards, while keeping accessories a minimal.  I paired this black blouse with daisy printed sleeves and collar with emerald green silk dress shorts, black lace-up shoes, and black opaque tights.  I completed my look with my silver pearl like studs, layered bracelets, boyfriend watch, high bun, and very natural makeup.  Hope you all had an amazing weekend and got to enjoy the gorgeous weather!

Topshop Unique Spring 2014 #LFW

"Woe betide the woman who plans to wear a bra this spring.  Topshop Unique wasn't the first show this season to assert that the back is the erogenous zone du jour, but the theme was drilled home with particular emphasis here.  The Topshop runway featured acres of naked back, with particular repetition of nineties-ish spaghetti-strap sundresses that dove low, low, low down the spine.  Elsewhere, the nineties theme played out in a few other ways, such as the big low-slung jeans with a raw look and a gigantic cuff, and the prevalent suede and gaudy print, both of which evoked the seventies as they were reinterpreted two decades later." - style.com
