Jonathan Saunders Spring 2014 #LFW

"In the stunning surroundings of the Tate Britain central core, lit by floating white globes, Jonathan Saunders showed what many described as his best collection yet.  He opened with exquisitely embroidered poppies on sheer shirting with satin collars, teamed with silk shorts and suede panelled jackets. Slinky ombre skirts were paired with embroidered cardigans, then vice versa until there were dresses featuring panels of ombre with panels of embroidery in every which way. The poppy returned in a silky repeat print and then oversized on the back or front of satin bomber jackets that were so effortlessly cool and desirable, you could almost hear the mental notes being made as the show went on, 'Yep, I want that one and that one'; the list went on." - fashion.telegraph.co.uk

Matthew Williamson Spring 2014 #LFW

"I wanted to capture the spirit of the 1997 show and take a simplistic, naive approach," he said.  "We asked how this brand would look through the eyes of a child."  Dragonflies and daisies adorned billowing chiffon dresses, then took on a smattering of polka dots on structured shifts with pinches waists and pocketed skirts beneath.  There were plenty of Ibiza-worthy sheer layered dresses in a sunshine melting pot of lime through to tomato, but there was an emphasis on daywear that felt new.  Sexy tailored silk trousers came with the sheerest silk blouses and, as the dragonflies morphed into bolder graffiti prints, the effect was a Williamson had intended; hand-drawn daisies, light button-up shirt dresses and airy peasant tops had an easy, uncomplicated appeal that means you don't have to be from the highest fashion echelons to enjoy a bit of MW world, but once you're there you might as well try a floral appliqué shift too." - vogue.co.uk

"Westwood opened with a sharp double-breasted suit in a windowpane check, and segued into her signature draped tailoring, which was especially strong in a plunging black jumpsuit with a notched tuxedo collar. A rose-garden print bloomed on a silk jumpsuit, a leather jacket and a draped dress, also mingling with sequins in a gown cinched at the waist with a double-buckle belt." - wwd.com

Temperley London Spring 2014 #LFW

"Let's start with the best bits: this was, after all, on of the loveliest collections we've seen from the label, EVER.  The show opened with a stream of fuchsia (the colour du jour for next spring) - in wide striped on regal skirts (with matching jackets, natch) or long gowns with 3-dimensional rosettes - which then blended with leopard print (we've never met a better combination) and finally worked into deep violet flowers, with hemlines high and low and full, bouncy skirts." - glamourmagazine.co.uk

L'Wren Scott Spring 2014 #LFW

"Scott's models appeared down the catwalk donning obi-turned-bow-cinched waists, colourful garden embroidered sleeves, and signature clean, crisp silhouettes inspired by 16th century Japan in the Momoyama period and Tagasode, meaning "whose sleeves" coming from on of Scott's favourite ancient screens.  Bento box red, eggplant purple, and aged gold hues filled the collection and was accessorized with vellum umbrellas, Japanese Kasa hats, and Brian Atwood's mega-sized wedges to literally top of the collection." - maireclaire.com
