Pulled from Pavoni's Collection Notes describes "Pavoni's glamorous and spectacular Fall/Winter 2013-2014 collection expresses the picturesque beauty of the (Golden) era by the use of delicate yet elaborate fabrics like chiffon silks, faconné silks, delicate lace or dramatic silk taffetas, that lend to this collection and incomparable feeling of luxury, but also through details, silhouettes and styles typical of a glorious page from that graceful time in history. From the novel arrangement of pleats and cascading fabric, or the drape of a dress, through the uncontested virtuoso of the evening ball gown, the collection creates effects of dazzling freshness. The styles come to life as if by magic gowned in classic colors like, Blush Nudes, silvery whites, deep greys and Black." Other details included in the collection were beautifully structured peplums, an array of necklines, mermaid and high-low tulle hems, an overwhelming amount of embellishment, and sheer yokes and sleeves. From start to finish Pavoni wowed us with look after look of atelier-like masterpieces that any girl would be lucky to some day wear. And a surprise confetti finale was not only the cherry on top of Pavoni's presentation but also on an incredible Fall 2013 World MasterCard Fashion Week. Until next season!

Vawk - WMCFW Fall 2013

I personally love Vawk, and look forward to the collection every season. The presentation, titled 'Nordic Fauna', started with an animalistic/outdoorsy video featuring an extremely loud and terrifying owl sound... don't lie it scared you too! The very wearable collection featured asymmetrical closures, cutouts, the faux cape, fur collars, accents, sleeves, and trims, interesting necklines, graphic sweaters (HELLO! the owl sweater was fabu), leather, nature prints, and a sophisticated minimalism that only Vawk designer, Sunny Fong, can pull off! The black, off white, moss, greys, and camels walked the runway in pristinely tailored suits, overcoats, dresses, and separates for both men and women. From day to night, work to play Vawk's A/W 2013 collection has something for everyone.

Rudsak - WMCFW Fall 2013

Rudsak is always a show not to be missed, with 'Leather Weather' being the predominate temperature in Toronto throughout the year the collection always speaks to a wide variety of shoppers. The collection definitely lived up to its hype as rocker models, both men and women, walked the runway at World MasterCard Fashion Week. Being familiar with leather, I was extremely impressed with the attention to detail including top stitching, fringe, leather and fur trim/accents, and the fit and shapes created to highlight both men and women's figures. Metallic and black leather were the dominate colours used throughout the collection in numerous biker styles, pants and shorts, micro-minis, and peplums and tees. However, with the freezing temperatures we unfortunately experience during the Winter parkas and puffer jackets, leather and fur hats, and leather and fur/leather and fabric combination jackets and coats were also featured. Once this collection hits stores it is sure to sell out quickly, so if you have your eyes on a piece or two (or ten) be sure to get to your local Rudsak at the beginning of the season to avoid disappointment.
