Ashtiani Spring 2013 - World MasterCard Fashion Week

The updated retro collection that walked down the runway during Ashtiani's Spring 2013 show was the definition of soft feminine shapes and relaxed fit.  Sheer, faux leather detailing, geometric patterns, chunky zippers, and pastels played strong influences throughout the collection.  Creating a different look with necklaces under a sheer blouse, which I have never seen before but quite love.  The most interesting piece for me was the modern wind breaker, which normally I would hate, however, with the recent weather in Toronto it is starting to grow on me and I am wishing I had one... or two!  The creativity meets wearability mantra was bang on.

Adrian Wu Spring 2013 - World MasterCard Fashion Week

The creative mind of Adrian Wu is something that we will only be able to experience through his designs that walk down the runway.  His Spring 2013 Collection was created solely of polyurethane, which created futuristic and geometric shapes only Lady Gaga could pull off.  The models squeaked down the runway to the tunes of a gorgeous live singer and pianist which added such beauty to such a dramatic collection.    The most surprising aspect of Wu's collection was his ability to show off the women's figure with over sized and stiff pieces that only fashionistas would understand.  Thoughts on this over the top futuristic collection?

Pavoni Spring 2013 - World MasterCard Fashion Week

One word to describe Pavoni's Spring 2013 Collection was uber-glam.  Definitely something that has yet to be seen on the catwalk during World MasterCard Fashion Week.  The very intricate embellishment created interesting patterns and emphasizes of the feminine silhouettes every women wants to show off.  The collection went from Cocktail to Ball Gown, mixing short and long hems and long and strapless sleeves.  Details included lace, cutouts, mixing metals (silver and gold), and lots and lots of razzle dazzle.  This was by far my favorite collection shown during Fashion Week, although the body-con ultra fabulous pieces aren't very wearable in my lifestyle... which is very upsetting!

Pink Tartan Spring 2013 - World MasterCard Fashion Week

Pink Tartan's Spring 2013 Collection was nothing but fabulous.  The flirty collection was very 80's inspired with crop tops, a-line skirts, high waist bottoms, hems below the knee, and even tight biker shorts.  Fabrics were patterned, metallic, in pastel colours, and embellished creating very playful and uber-fem silhouettes.  Lace detailing was evident throughout the collection, adding that extra umph to a simple monochromatic outfit.  Cocktail and party dresses were completed with top hats and hair accessories, to add to the already playful look.  The overall vibe of the collection was very wearable and well crafted pieces, which will stay as a staple in your closet for many years to come.  Check out the fantastic collection below!
