Interview Magazine March 2012

Last week I posted about Katy Perry covering Interview Magazine's March 2012 Edition, which you can view here.  I was so excited to see the rest of the shoot, and was "patiently" waiting for them to be leaked.  Well, the time has come and man was it worth the wait!  She looks absolutely stunning.  The black and white photos show different angles of the singer and unique poses.  Not to mention the clothes, or lack there of, are gorgeous aswell.  Check out the pics below.

Nina Ricci Fall 2012 - Paris Fashion Week

The Romantic Gothic feel was unavoidable while the pieces from Nina Ricci's Fall 2012 Collection walked down the runway.  The dark colours and lips mixed with body conscious silhouettes and pops of pastel colours allowed femininity show through.  Fur, sheer, lightweight fabrics, patterns and high hem lines added detail and interest to each piece.  I also loved the atmosphere that was created by the dark vintage hardwood floors use for the runway and black/dark background and surroundings.  Really allowed the essence of the collection to show through.

Rihanna Style Watch - London

Rihanna was spotted stepping out of her hotel in London wearing these killer Louboutin thigh-high boots and spiky denim shorts?  Yes, you read correctly.  Rihanna wore these crazy spiky shorts the other day while out in London.  I won't lie, I don't know how wearable these shorts are for the everyday person but I LOVE THEM!  Rihanna rocked this look!
What do you all think of these?

Marie Claire UK - April 2012

Christina Ricci is Marie Claire UK's April 2012 Cover Girl.  The gorgeous starlet covers the magazine in a Louis Vuitton dress from the Spring 2012 Collection.  For the rest of the shoot she was photographed in pieces from Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Carven, Alexander McQueen and Versus' Spring/Resort 2012 Collections.  She has definitely grown from first seeing her in "Casper" and "Now and Then". I don't think anyone would have thought that Ricci would have turned into the superstar and magazine cover girl she is today.  Check out the cover (above) and the rest of shoot below.

Balmain Fall 2012 - Paris Fashion Week

Embellishment and beading were no stranger in the Balmain Fall 2012 Collection, which helped enhance the Louis XIV meets Rocker Chic feel.  Creative Director, Olivier Rousteing, stuck with classic shaped but modernized them with prints, exaggerated shoulders, pearl detailing, leather and mixing fabrics/textures.  The collection is simply gorgeous, the perfect mix, creating modernized classics, allowing the pieces to be worn for many years.  Personally I love the over sized men's inspired blazers.  The tuxedo detailing and intricate beading really gives them the femininity needed to be paired with pieces already in our closets.

Balenciaga Fall 2012 - Paris Fashion Week

Nicolas Ghesquière, Balenciaga's creative director, took a very interesting and unique way to showcase his Fall 2012 Collection, using his real employees as models.  He also staged the runway show 27 floors up in one of Paris' skyscrapers.  Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, the house's architect, took months to perfect the image Ghesquière wanted to achieve.  The collection featured new loosely fitting shapes with lightweight materials, which allowed the drape-like effect.  Also, over sized coats, sweaters, hips and sleeves helped create interesting shapes and fits.  Bold colours and Graphic Prints, such as "JOIN A WEIRD TRIP" and "OUT OF THE BLUE made a major creative and visual influence in the overall look and feel of the collection.
